I didn't take the original photo, that was probably 25 years ago. Claire asked me to rephotograph her family as in the original photo. The four of them live in three different cities, it was a busy weekend and her mother was leaving early the next day. The photo session was almost canceled but did take place on a Sunday evening in a vacant lot across from Claire's apartment. I'm so glad we made it happen.

It's a beautiful Fall day.

I just finished teaching 85 hours of digital photography to teenagers at Coyote Central. The students were great and excited to learn and gave me some new ideas about how to teach and how to take photos. for more information on Coyote and Fall classes look here - http://www.coyotecentral.org/

Now, I'm taking my kids and my camera and we're going to the beach for the rest of the month.

seattle's child magazine covers

I work for Seattle's Child magazine occasionally, I have the August cover this month. I need to get some handsome boys on there next time they ask!

16 year old cousins on the day before they left for theatre camp. I first met one she was 8 years old. I liked how these girls still like to dress up and climb trees and hold hands. beautiful.

Some Hasidic Jewish boys get their first haircut when they turn three.

I was honored to be invited to photograph Yahuda's haircutting ceremony this month, it was a beautiful day.
